A great place to develop

The Council is an excellent place to develop your career.
Our staff work closely with Council members who provide regular support and feedback. Members are drawn from academia, think-tanks, and international organisations and so come with a wealth of experience.
We have a small ambitious team that has helped have a positive impact on Irish policy. We value diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
Our offices are shared with the Economic and Social Research Institute. This means we benefit from greater opportunities to learn and interact with the wider policy research community.
We advocate flexible work
The Council embraces remote working.
It operates a highly flexible coordinated hybrid working policy.
This typically means all our staff meet for one day a week in person. This helps foster effective teamwork, socialising, and in-person collaboration. The rest of the week, employees have the autonomy to work remotely.
We find that this model increases productivity while providing our staff with more choice and freedom.

Promoting balanced lifestyles

The Council champions staff wellbeing.
It was awarded a gold Smarter Travel Mark from the National Transport Authority. This celebrates its best practices in encouraging and supporting active and sustainable lifestyles, including walking and cycling.
